CHADA, CHaracterisation DATA – an introduction
As part of its mission to support data interoperability in materials science, the MatCHMaker Project, in collaboration with the European Materials Modelling Council (EMMC), hosted an online training session titled “CHADA – Characterisation Data: An Introduction” on June 17.
The session was led by Alexandra Simperler from EMMC, who guided participants through the updated CHADA framework, aligned with the CEN Workshop Agreement CWA 17815, which promotes the standardised documentation of characterisation workflows.
Targeting professionals from academia, RTOs, and industry, the training covered key updates to the modular CHADA template, guidance on CEN 17815, and the use of BPMN for visualising workflows.
This session forms part of MatCHMaker’s broader efforts to enhance transparency, reproducibility, and integration across Europe’s materials data ecosystem.
